Our Story

In Conakry, Guinea, when the kids had a break from classes to buy lunch from nearby street vendors, the food varied but the drink was always the same.  Indeed, all across West Africa the ginjan, or ginger juice has been enjoyed for thousands of years.

These fond memories inspired Mohammed and Rahim - and with a little help from Mom - to create Ginjan for commercial distribution in the NY metro area - today selling in about 90 stores as well as all Whole foods Market stores across NYC.
